I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at McGill University, and my B.A. in Psychology from the University of Waterloo. I began my graduate studies in social psychology, which gave me a strong background in research, and helps to inform my clinical practice. Since becoming a clinical psychologist in 2013, I have worked in various public and private settings, and have co-founded a clinical practice in my former place of residence.
I take an evidence-based, trauma-informed approach and strive to create a strong therapeutic alliance, laying the foundation for collaborative and healing work. I’m passionate about helping clients attain sustainable and long-term change, and building an authentic life in line with their values. My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and incorporates other mindfulness-based therapies, such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy.
I work with adults (18+) who are struggling with anxiety, depression, eating disorders and body image issues, shame and self-criticism, emotion regulation, and gender dysphoria, among other things. My therapy space is LGBTQIA2S+ affirming and weight inclusive.
I’m always on the lookout for new opportunities to grow and learn, and when I’m not doing clinical work, I’m actively participating in consultation groups, providing supervision to trainees, reading and listening to psychology-related books and podcasts, or attending workshops and trainings.
