I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology from McGill University and a BA in Psychology from Queen’s University. Throughout my graduate education, I completed training in a variety of hospital, community, and postsecondary settings in the Montreal area. Since returning to my home province of Ontario, I have worked in private practice since 2016.
My main area of focus is providing therapy for adults and adolescents with OCD and anxiety disorders including generalized anxiety, panic, phobias, and social anxiety. I also work with clients on stress, perfectionism, and low self-esteem. My therapeutic approach is rooted in cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and includes elements of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and mindfulness when appropriate. I work collaboratively with clients to create a warm, empathic, nonjudgmental space so that they can understand their experiences, learn and practice new skills, improve symptoms, cope with stressors, and nurture what is important in their lives.
As a professional, I love to wear many hats. In addition to my clinical work, I have had the opportunity to teach research methods to medical students, consult with psychotherapists in the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy program, and do some writing of my own. Outside of work, I love to read, cook, and spend time outdoors.
