Dr. Lee Smith, Registered Psychologist
Lee is a Registered Psychologist in Ontario. He obtained his Ph.D. from Dalhousie University in 1984 and trained at the Clarke Institute of Psychiatry and Baycrest Hospital in Toronto subsequently. He moved to Peterborough to work at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre in 1987, and has been in private practice since 1990, in partnership with Dr. Gene Telka. Their practice has grown to include 10 regulated practitioners.
Lee treats adult individuals and couples in his general private practice in clinical psychology, and he is particularly interested in issues related to trauma and attachment. He has trained in hypnosis and hypnotherapy, and has completed Level II training in EMDR, a well-researched treatment for trauma-related disorders. He also consults to organizations about employee and human resources issues
He provides workshops to various organizations on a wide range of subjects. Recently conducted workshops include:

- Manvers Township Fire Dept. (on traumatic stress)
- Ministry of Natural Resources (to the Jr. Rangers' supervisors)

Lee lives in the countryside near Peterborough with his wife, Linda, and their two daughters.
