Dr. Judy Johnson, C. Psych.Dr. Johnson is registered in Ontario as a psychologist and does psychotherapy and assessment with adults (individuals and couples) dealing with a wide range of issues, including: depression, anxiety, phobia, stress, trauma (PTSD), loss and grief, childhood abuse, separation and divorce, self-esteem, and change processes.

Dr. Johnson has a belief that each person is unique. She uses evidence-based interventions for dealing with challenging issues. An attentive and compassionate listener, she works to see the problem through the client’s eyes. She takes an integrative approach to therapy, meaning that she uses cognitive-behavioural (CBT), interpersonal, psychodynamic, goal-oriented, and process experiential techniques. All private psychological services are confidential.

Dr. Johnson returned to university in midlife after working for many years in law. She obtained her PhD from York University and conducted research on the interpersonal relationships of adults abused as children (PhD) and on coping with HIV (MA). She has published and presented her research at the International Congress of Psychology.
