Constance Oates, M.A., C.Psych.Assoc.
Constance is a registered psychological associate licenced to provide psychological services in Ontario. She provides assessments and psychotherapy for infants, children, adolescents, and families dealing with a variety of issues including; anxiety and stress, behavioural problems, educational challenges, depression and low mood, family conflict and separation, grief and loss, and attachment problems.
Constance completed her M.A. and Dip.C.Psychology at Massey University in New Zealand. She has worked in a hospital based children's mental health program first in New Zealand and then in Peterborough Ontario for 9 years, and in private practice since April 2005.
Constance works to understand children and young people in the context of their family, social environment and developmental path. Therapy is tailored to family and individual strengths and needs, employing a variety of techniques including play and art activities, cognitive behavioural therapy, and family based interventions. Constance has a respectful; strengths focused approach with clients.
