Mary Downs, M.S.W.
Ms. Downs is a social worker who obtained her M.S.W. at the University of British Columbia in 1968. She has worked in a variety of settings including children's mental health facilities, a family service agency, and an adolescent counselling service in Toronto. She moved to Peterborough in 1986.
Ms. Downs offers therapy to individuals, couples and families and her practice includes children, adolescents, and adults. She provides counselling in the following areas:

- resolution of family and marital conflicts
- violence and abuse situations
- separation issues
- grief counselling
- depression and anxiety
- workplace stress
- consultation - regarding a variety of personal/family problems
